There is no "Best Blond Joke", just an endless bunch ocf links from one blog to another, each suggesting the blond joke is just at the end of the next click! But what is interesting is that all these bloggers got together and planned this, and managed to carry it out without breaking the chain (I assume, since I gave up on the 4th 'layer' when I caught on to the ploy).

MillionDollarHomepage hits mainstream press: Wall Street Journal article

21-year-old Alex Tew of Great Britain filled a notebook with ideas, jotting down this simple query to himself: How Can I Become a Millionaire?...what followed is an instructional tale of how a brainstorm, coupled with the Internet's powerful word-of-mouth culture, can set a trend in motion with lightning speed.

And if the WSJ article is no longer available, the site it's about is here.
Or copy http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com/ into your URL line and hit return.

PS: (1/3/06) Well I just got done rejecting the second attempt to post a comment who's sole purpose is to attempt to virual market another site like milliondollarhomepage.com, I find it very insulting of these losers that they would think I would put up with such, I DO moderate all comments to this blog and no self marketing will be posted, clear, this means you! Some people really know how to waste others time!

Ubiquitous Porn: Alive on the Net

John Dvorak proposed the creation of an .xxx top-level domain to make it easier to prevent what he then described as a porn storm. These were self-spawning pornography page attacks that took place on the desktops of unsuspecting users.

I have not always seen eye to eye with John, but I'll say this is a good piece (mind you, I'm not sure I'm buying the 'this was my idea all along' bit, but I'm sure he probably did mention it long ago).

Sony releases new version of rootkit remover

The latest version of Sony's rootkit uninstaller is now available for download.

This links to the OTHER flawed Sony DRM page, where they offer lists of affected titles AND removal tools AS WELL as offer for CD replacement.

Interesting that they did not bother to offer same for the other flawed DRM, not enough press to force the issue? People becoming blase about the whole thing?

NASA ditches IE in favor of Firefox

According to Dan Turner "NASA has given up entirely on Internet Explorer. Now every time you go to a page using IE, you get up to three prompts telling you how risky it is to run scripts. The official line is that the newest IE vulnerability was the proverbial straw, and now NASA's standard browser is Firefox."

Well, since Microsoft was not the original creator of Internet Explorer (they just bought an early browser company that was hurting and slapped their name on it), they get what they deserve.

RC Heli mows the lawn

My brother shot this of Jon Jennings flying his 50 size heli in a new subdivision development near Braselton. It's his first heli video so it's kind of crude as far as following the action.

If you look closely you'll see maneuvers that you never knew could be done. The best trick is flying inverted, hovering and chopping weeds.
